Lots of activities, specially if you have children. Depending on how is the weather, you may either ski or bike. There is an indoor pool that I wish was heated, but still a good option. There is a great view of the Rockies at sunset. I recommend!
I am writing this review mostly to tell you to just book your wedding somewhere else. My fiancee and I toured this venue about 2 months ago and were super excited that we had found our venue and that the dates we wanted were available! we were told that it took a while to get the contracts written up but that we were officially blocked out on the schedule for our weekend. I reached out to the event coordinator Katelyn almost weekly in those two months and was reassured multiple times that we were just waiting on the contracts to be written up but "Don't worry!" Well, today we received an email saying that they needed to "clarify" and that our dates that we had been promised MULTIPLE TIMES weren't actually available. We missed out on TWO MONTHS worth of time that I could have booked another venue. Whatever you do, DO NOT BOOK THIS VENUE so long as Katelyn is their wedding coordinator. She WILL drop the ball. She WILL not communicate correct information with you. You will be stuck venue-less and be forced to push your wedding back a full year.
The front desk did call and ask about our issues, which helps, so I appreciate feeling like they care . Hopefully they can make some changes so when you make a reservation you know what will/won't be available. I was thinking this would be our last trip here, but the front desk made me feel much better about the issues, and that they would address them.
This trip has been frustrating. Every oudoor activity is closed due to weather- it's 60 and sunny. I clarified before making our reservation specific outdoor activities would be available. I spoke to programs department manager after making our reservation and was assured the tubing hill was the only thing that would be closed, and other activities would be open as long as weather permitted. Now we are here, and nothing is available. I would suggest adding a banner to the website of closing dates, in advance. That's really why we came here over other properties, because of the activities our child picked out, not the accommodations. Our cabin could use some TLC. Compared to our last cabin, it is in pretty rough shape.
I attended YMCA of the Rockies/Snow Mountain Ranch to attend a family wedding. The service from the get go was fantastic! We spent 3 nights in one of the three bedroom cabins on property and it was a great experience! Clean and comfortable with full kitchens and a home like feel! I would definitely recommend the Snow mountain ranch to anyone staying in Granby or Winter Park!
This is such a great place! Lots of fun things.to do that kids and parents can enjoy together, beautiful views, and friendly staff. We come here twice a year or so with family or friends. Quoting my daughter's 10-year old friend, who is here for the first time - "I love this place".
It is beautiful here, and the new park area is really great! The dog park is awesome, with all the trees and little trails. I haven't been to a nicer dog park anywhere. It's very nice to be able to let your dog run that energy off without worrying.
