Perfect for families with little ones and people learning to ski....if you are an avid skier...this is a waste of time......if you new to skiing...good affordable way to get into it. I live taking my kids to this place
There with our RV for kids mountain bike race again. They charged us $40 to set up in the upper parking area. No amenities. Don't like a gouge but there were no other options near the race site.
This resort is a hidden gem! HIGHLY recommend this place for families and beginner to intermediate skiers! It is only 30 minutes from Winter Park so you have all the dining, shopping, activities, etc. But the mountain is smaller and about half the price. The ski school is FANATASTIC! They teach direct to parallel, (instead of "pizza") which is better as you advance, less chance of knee injury and teaches you to make proper turns from the get go. We enrolled our kids on two different trips and they loved it! The staff was great, and my kids are doing better and have better control than the old traditional method. The difference is especially notable when we went to a big resort and they had better form and control than the other kids in the big resort ski school. The staff is friendly at this resort, not as crowded, it's very family friendly, and the lodging is much more reasonable. Will be coming again.
Such a beautiful area. My son and I got a lift ticket to do some mountain biking. The trails are awesome, full of berms and jumps. The bike patrol is helpful as well. We had a little crash and they were quick to show up and got us some ice.
Bike park is top notch! Trails are well cared for, lift staff is always friendly. Trails are killer. Service and availability of food/bev at base is spotty, and a bit pricey.
